Do You Have Second Thoughts?

Do You Have Second Thoughts?

Consider with me that the Holy Word of God is “Infallible, Inerrant, Active, Alive, and Vital” for our daily life in Christ.  When God speaks to us through His Word, we MUST grab hold onto what He says and not allow anything nor anyone to change it.

When faced with any situation, what is your first thought?  Look at the story of Peter walking on the water.  His first thought was that if Christ told him to come, then he could walk on the water.  It was the second thought that stole away that moment of victory.  Look at Eve in the garden.  Her first thought and response to the serpent was to reiterate what God had spoken.  But, then she contemplated the second thought, those words contradicting God, which stole her victory.

Now, carefully look at the account of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:22-28.  Her first thought is that Jesus can heal her daughter.  And, though she is shunned by the disciples and also told by Christ that He “was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel,” she holds firmly to her first thought.  She holds to the faith growing out of her inward conviction and receives a great blessing from Christ; her daughter was healed that very hour!

Hold onto those first thoughts of victory which are founded in God and His Holy Word!  Do not allow the enemy of your soul to deceive you by entertaining any second thoughts.  Make those thoughts obedient to Christ!

God has already promised you victory and “more than overcoming” life and ministry!  Meditate on what He has spoken and written to you!  Get His Words so deeply rooted in your spirit that nothing will cause you to consider any “second thoughts.”

We pray for you to have a blessed week and an inspiring Christmas time with family and friends!

Increasing in Christ,
