What Challenges Are You NOT Facing?

Here is a great question to ask yourself.  “What challenges am I NOT facing?”  Let us explore a simple truth with you today that can turn you world right-side up!

James Baldwin once said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”  Focus with me for a moment on the second portion of his statement.  “Nothing can be changed until it is faced.”  This is an extremely powerful statement that really does have it’s roots in the very foundation of God’s Word, whether Mr. Baldwin realized it or not.

Jesus told us to speak to the mountains (challenges) in our lives.  Paul wrote that we must take captive every thought.  David faced Goliath.  Moses faced Pharaoh.  Daniel faced the lions.  The list goes on and on.  The examples and commands given to us from God are to walk in authority and face the challenges!

It is too often the case that people worry, complain, and fret over situations and challenges that would quickly and powerfully be changed to their good if they would simply face the situations.

Again I ask, ‘What challenges are you not facing?’

Here is what you can do.

  • Identify the challenges you are facing  (not the symptom but the challenge)
  • Discover what God’s Word has to say about that challenge
  • Use His Word just as Jesus used it against satan.  Speak it aloud.  Pray it.  Meditate upon it.
  • Do not settle for defeat.  Cast your cares into your Father’s hands.  When He said that He would supply all that you need according to His riches in glory, He was talking about the full circumference of life’s cares, not just financial needs.

Let me remind you that you are MORE than a conqueror. (Rom. 8:37) Greater is He that is within you. (1 Jn. 4:4) There is a Greater Power with you! (2 Chr. 32:7)
