Simple — Just Not Easy
Last week was a marvelous revelation from God’s Word to encourage us as we daily ‘run with perseverance the race marked out for us.’
Sometimes the race seems easy, with a smooth level track and the wind at our backs. Of course, there are other times when the path seems uncertain, every step seems uphill, and there is a storm raging all around. Your “FAITH” response during those seasons of life determines the effectiveness in which you run with perseverance.
As we established last week, applying your faith as your run the race (or fight the good fight) is simple but not easy. It is not easy to smile at the enemy of your soul and declare yourself more than an overcomer when you are being pummeled. It is not easy to turn your focus to the Word instead of looking at your circumstances, but it is that simple to establish yourself on a path toward victory!
As Paul wrote to the Galatians, let me also encourage you not to allow anything or anyone to hinder you, stop you, or interfere with you following and obeyng the Truth!
Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 4:13 that he speaks with the same spirit of faith in which he believes. You and I must do the same! We must speak with the same spirit of faith we seen demonstrated through the heroes of faith enumerated in Hebrews 11.
So when you are experiencing your race like Paul describes his in 2 Corinthians 4:8,9, do the same as Paul. Use your faith! Declare your victory! Persevere in your race!
For though you may be troubled, perplexed, or persecuted, you are NOT distressed, Not in despair, NOT forsaken!!!
In the same way you believed in your heart and then confessed with your mouth Jesus is Lord, use your faith to believe and speak the victory God has planned for you!
Determine that you will run the race, fight the good fight, and keep the faith!
