One Ordinary Act, One-Life Changing Result!

When you think about Christ feeding the 5,000, do you ever ponder the mother who prepared the lunch for the boy with the five loaves and two fish?  Though she is not mentioned in scripture, we realize that it was his mother who most likely sent him off for the day with the resource that Jesus would use to feed 5,000 men, plus women and children.  I want you to consider that, though this mother’s actions were something ordinary, God used them to accomplish the extraordinary!  It was such an outstanding miracle that it is the only miracle recorded in all four gospels other than the resurrection of our Lord.

Being involved in the spiritual life of someone else does not require a singularly unique word from God.  It does not center upon a visitation from a prophet or pastor.  It is not solely found through dreams and visions.  On the contrary, becoming involved in someone’s spiritual life begins with the everyday activities they experience.  Can you imagine the life-changing impact the boy experienced when he saw his own small lunch feed 5,000+?  Have you ever thought of what happened that night as this boy ran into his home, talking non-stop about how Jesus used his bread and fish?  As he fell asleep that evening, I imagine it was from pure exhaustion after the adrenaline rush slowly faded away.  Now realize, it all started out like any other day with his mother giving him something to take for his lunch.

This is a great challenge you can powerfully apply to your everyday life and activities.

Ponder these two one-line thoughts.

“The single act you do today could be feeding another 5,000!”

What did you do today to be impact someone in a forever life-changing way?”
