Will You Hear “Well Done”?

If you are like me, you are always busy doing something.  You know, doing this, doing that, and doing the other thing.  Well, doing is very good.  After all, we are to “Do the work of the ministry.”  “Faith without works is dead.”  We are to “Be doers of the Word and not hearers only.”

There is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that motivates me.  “The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.”

I’m sure all of us have missed out on opportunities and wish we would have done things differently but, for some ideas, it’s never too late!  Is there something that has been on your heart for some time?  What have you been feeling really impressed to do? Is there a neighbor or friend with whom you have been meaning to share Christ?  I will rephrase Emerson’s statement by saying, “The only disappointment in not doing something comes from not doing it.”

Dreams and visions in our hearts are divinely placed there for a purpose.  They not only enable you to experience the abundant life God desires you to have, but their purpose is farther reaching and more impacting than you could ever imagine – to the whole world.

In either case, I challenge you to discover your rewards!  Discover the BEYOND in what God has planned.  Get out there and do it!  And, most of all, do it with all your strength as unto your Lord because the greatest reward of a thing well done is to have done it!  One day you will stand before your Heavenly Father and hear Him say, “Well done!”
