Positioned For Victory

Consider Abram’s encounter in Genesis 14.  He did what 5 armies could not do!  It’s an amazing account of a man who listened and obeyed God.

As Romans and Galatians clearly tell us, you and I are heirs of this great man of faith because we are in Christ!  Abram, who became Abraham, “is the father of all who believe!”  Being our father also means that we should demonstrate the same traits in our relationship with God as Abraham demonstrated in his relationship with God.

We can summarize these traits into the following four statements.

1 – Abraham did what God said.

2 – Abraham did ANYTHING God said.

3 – Abraham did EXACTLY what God said.

4 – Abraham IMMEDIATELY did what God said.

Abraham became the ‘father of the faith’ by going BEYOND in his service, devotion, and love toward God.  His consistent demonstration of obedience to God positioned him for the remarkable victory seen in Genesis 14.

You and I do not know what challenges may come our way, but what we do know is that we can prepare ourselves now by earnestly and faithfully walking in obedience to God.

Living out such exact and immediate obedience positions us for victory.  We no longer work in our strength.  Our actions are supernaturally empowered by God’s power which is at work within us to do exceedingly above and beyond anything we could do in our natural strength.

Listen to God’s voice.  Do what He says.  See God’s power work BEYOND through your life!

Going BEYOND Through Christ,
