Rest, Relief, Refreshment…
In the Amplified Bible, Matthew 11:28-29 reads: Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest — relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet— for your souls.
Alisa and I love you and miss being with you. God continues to tremendously bless us through serving you as pastor! We thank you for all of your prayers, kinds words, cards, and thoughtful gifts.
Though some of our time this week will be spent as a working-vacation, we will also be taking time to more fully experience the “rest, relief, refreshment, recreation, and blessed quiet” with our Lord as He continues strengthening us for His work.
