Keeping Heaven’s Windows Open
Let’s think about Matthew 13:52 from the Amplified Bible which reads, “He said to them, ‘Therefore, every teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings who has been instructed about and trained for the kingdom of heaven and has become a disciple is like a householder who brings forth out of his storehouse treasure that is new and treasure that is old the fresh as well as the familiar.”
In this verse, God’s Word is being compared to a storehouse of treasure; new and old treasure, fresh and familiar treasure. God’s Word is truly a storehouse of Promises, Protection, Provision, and Power! As you and I grow in His Word, and His Word grows in us, we discover treasures that minister to us. Some of these treasures have become familiar and daily give us comfort and direction. Still, each new day brings fresh treasure from God’s abundant supply!
Yes, God desires to open the windows of heaven and pour out His promises, protection, provision, and power into your life! Remaining in His Word and letting His Word remain in us is a part of keeping those windows open.
I pray for His Word to continually be a storehouse of fresh and familiar treasure in your life!
