Expect the Greater Things
What are you expecting God to do in your life this week? How are you expecting God to work through your life? The key word in these two questions is ‘expect.’ Our expectations are birthed out of our faith in God. Little faith results in little expectation! Let’s be reminded that God desires to work through each of us to show His love, grace, and power to this world.
Andrew Murray wrote, “‘He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith’ (Matthew 13:58). Beware, above everything else in your praying, of limiting God, not only by unbelief but also by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things, ‘abundantly above all that we ask or think’ (Ephesians 3:20). Each time you intercede, be quiet first and worship God in His glory. Meditate on what He can do. Then expect great things!”
Jesus said that you will do even ‘greater things’ because He is with the Father and the Spirit is within you. Let’s expect the greater things! Let’s build our faith and increase our expectation and look for all God is about to do through us and our church!
Love,
Pastor Gary
